Code of Conduct for Parents / Spectators
Parents/Spectators have a great influence on children’s enjoyment and success in football. All children play football because they first and foremost love the game – its fun. It is important to remember that whatever standard of football your child achieves at Trinity FC we reinforce the message to parents/spectators that positive encouragement from you will contribute to:
• Children enjoying football
• A sense of personal achievement
• Self-esteem
• Improving the child’s skills and techniques and attitude for not only the football but life
Remember what a big impact your behaviour, good or bad, can have. As a parent/spectator your expectations and attitudes have a significant bearing on a child’s attitude towards:
• Other players
• Officials
• Managers
• Spectators
Trinity FC asks that all parents/spectators observe the following
:
General
• Always encourage your child, never be negative
• Encourage fair play, also encourage and display good sportsmanship
• Help your child understand the meaning of winning and losing. It’s their enjoyment of the game that counts.
• Do not put pressure on your child, allow them to enjoy themselves
• Take time to understand the rules of the game
• Inform the manager if there is any change to your child’s medical condition or fitness
• Please pay all your child’s subs and fees on time
